Corporate ESI is growing exponentially. The 2024 ESI Risk Management & Litigation Readiness Report discusses those corporate challenges.
Just released yesterday by Pagefreezer, the 2024 ESI Risk Management & Litigation Readiness Report (FREE and available here) offers a glimpse into how over 200 legal departments are navigating these ESI challenges with expert-backed strategies for reducing legal risks and costs associated with managing ESI.
Here are a few key findings from the report:
- 68% of respondents report heavier caseloads are delaying ESI production.
- Fewer than half of respondents have mature data retention policies.
- 28% of respondents have been fined for late responses or unfulfilled ESI requests
- 70% of respondents say that their legal department must depend on the IT department to complete ESI tasks.
The 32-page report is “chock-full” of other findings, statistics and graphics to illustrate the results of the study. It covers everything from the effects of rising caseloads and complex ESI to the state of ESI collection, preservation and production to technology impacts on legal team efficiency to key obstacles to mature data retention and more! It also includes observations from several industry thought leaders (including me) sprinkled in throughout the report.
Again, the 2024 ESI Risk Management & Litigation Readiness Report is FREE and available here. And stay tuned for an announcement about a webinar to discuss the report and general in-house trends!
So, what do you think? Are you part of an in-house team or do you work with in-house teams? If so, download the report! And please share any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic.
