Time for another thought leader interview on eDiscovery Today! This time, I’m interviewing Josh Kreamer of Seedless!
Josh Kreamer is the Founder and CEO of Seedless, which was founded last year. Before that, Josh was at AstraZeneca for over six years, where he led the drugmaker’s eDiscovery program and later expanded its scope to include a variety of insourced services designed to significantly reduce legal costs and transform the legal function from cost center to innovation leader. In 2022, he was named on Relativity’s annual list of the legal industry’s “AI Visionaries”. Josh previously worked at the global law firm Winston & Strawn LLP and was an eDiscovery Project Manager at Discoverready (which is now Consilio) before that.
Josh is also a founding member of the Legal Data Intelligence project, is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a member of the Washington DC Bar. His complete bio is available via his LinkedIn profile here.
Josh and I covered a lot of topics, ranging from why he decides to move from leadership positions with both an AM LAW 50 firm and a major corporation and found an AI company focused on generating fictional data to support enterprise AI initiatives, what Seedless does and how it can benefit organizations that are looking to implement AI solutions, Josh’s thoughts about agentic AI and how Seedless is looking to address this trend, what his thoughts are about the Enron data set and how Seedless can help the industry develop one or more data sets that better reflect the data we see in organizations today, why he thinks that 95 percent of AI initiatives are failing (per an MIT report) and what can be done to increase the success percentage for AI implementation projects, what the typical process looks like for Seedless to work with its clients to help them achieve a successful implementation of an AI solution, how the work that Seedless is doing ties into initiatives like Legal Data Intelligence (LDI) for the legal community, and more!
