Summary
2022 Legal Tech Trends and Everlaw’s Predictions
In 2022, ediscovery entered into an era.
From smartphones to Zoom meetings, our lives have become digitized in ways never seen before. For litigators, this explosion of data is both a benefit and a curse: massive amounts of ESI create a host of potential evidence that can hold the key to resolving disputes. Conversely, that mountain of data means there are untold amounts of information to collect, review, and analyze.
Complications created due to massive data sets and unique file types have forced many to look to modern technology for help. Today’s data volumes can rarely be handled successfully with manual processes or legacy tools, leading many in the legal industry to leverage advanced technology at rates far exceeding past years.
To make sense of this dramatic shift, the Everlaw team analyzed our internal data to identify specific trends in how the legal sector is coping with this new age of ediscovery.
Join Chuck Kellner, Sheneika Hurley, and Madeline Pollard on January 19 at 10am PT as they look back at key legal technology trends of 2022 and predict what’s in store for 2023. Some of the key trends they will cover include:
- Data growth’s continued disruption of the legal industry.
- The increased acceptance and adoption of modern tools to address the data challenge.
- The growing number of corporate legal departments bringing ediscovery in-house.
- And more!
