Stephen Goldsteinserves as the Director of Practice Support for Squire Patton Boggs. Since joining the firm in September 2001, he has managed the litigation support function including large-scale projects such as those related to the Enron Unsecured Creditors Committee. Acting as an internal consultant to Squire Patton Boggs lawyers, he provides technical guidance and solutions to client-related matters around the globe.
Stephen co-developed the Squire Patton Boggs Intelligent Discovery Process™ (IDP), a unique eDiscovery project management and technology platform that leverages disciplined management, predictive coding, and other technology to improve efficiencies in the eDiscovery Process. As a result, Squire Patton Boggs wonLaw Technology News2012 Most Innovative Use of Technology in a Large Law Firm Award.
With more than 20 years’ experience working with legal technology and over seven years in predictive coding, Stephen is a frequent speaker and presenter on topics such as litigation technology, electronic data discovery and predictive coding/technology-assisted review. He is a contributing author to the Electronic Data Reference Model (EDRM) project and a member of the Sedona Conference® Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production. Stephen also serves as a member of the Squire Patton Boggs eDiscovery & Data Management Team.
Stephen is an ACEDS Certified E-Discovery Specialist and a Fellow of the Legal Analytics Program at Arizona State University. He has served on the Executive Board of the Association of Litigation Support Professionals (ALSP) and was a Planning Committee Chair for the Georgetown Law e-Discovery Practice Support program.
Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Stephen provided litigation support services to Jones Day and McDermott Will & Emery.
