Summary
As more corporate data is created or stored in Microsoft 365, it has become a key source of data for discovery, regulatory investigations, and internal data requests. Microsoft Purview provides a way to scope and export this data for eDiscovery matters.
In June 2022, Microsoft combined the filter, review, and export capabilities of their Compliance Center with advancements in the API. To help users take advantage of this functionality, Rampiva has released an independent integration with Microsoft Purview, allowing users to control the scope, export settings, and lifecycle of the collected data.
Join ACEDS for an in-depth product showcase, including:
- The operational challenges of collecting data from Microsoft Purview
- Rampiva’s automation of the collection process
- Steps for transforming or transferring data for additional processing or review
- Unified reporting across all Rampiva activity
This 30-minute session will be led by Rampiva CEO, Daniel Boteanu, and will focus on technical capabilities designed to address real operational hurdles.

Daniel Boteanu, M.Eng., M.Sc., is the founder and CEO of Rampiva, a company that produces software for eDiscovery and Forensic Technology investigations. With more than 10 years of experience in eDiscovery and Cyber Security, he led cases in government, financial, media, retail, energy, gaming and critical infrastructure sectors. Daniel designed and developed eDiscovery software and workflows that allowed handling cases with vast amounts of data, in the order of 150 terabytes.
In addition, Daniel researched and discovered multiple previously unknown security vulnerabilities such as those in the TCG Opal standard which would have allowed hackers to bypass the encryption of laptops used in most enterprise environments as well as vulnerabilities in widely used contactless cards and telecommunication equipment. Daniel is a frequent speaker at cyber security conferences, and he leads the Forensic Technology Investigation track at NorthSec, the largest applied cyber security event in Canada. In the past, using his cyber security expertise, Daniel hacked, ethically, into major Canadian banks, insurance, energy, media and retail companies.
