The 2024 CLOC Global Institute is in Less Than Two Weeks!: Legal Operations Events

The “CLOC” is ticking on the 2024 CLOC Global Institute conference in Las Vegas. See what I did there? 😉 It’s less than two weeks away!

The 2024 CLOC Global Institute, which (as always) is being conducted by the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) in Las Vegas. What isn’t “as always” is that the event has a new “home” this year: it will take place from May 6-9, 2024, at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, after being held at the Bellagio the last several years.

Yesterday afternoon, the marketing team for CLOC held a press briefing to provide some details for the upcoming conference. Here are some 2024 CLOC Global Institute “by the numbers” facts for this year’s conference:

  • 2,300+ attendees, 42% are first time attendees.
  • 43% are in senior/executive positions, 38% are in mid-level positions.
  • 200 speakers
  • 113 sponsors
  • 95 total sessions, 87% of the program is community curated (up from 49% last year)

Monday, May 6 is a partial day with pre-event workshops and group meetings, as well as the opening reception that evening. Tuesday and Wednesday, May 7 and 8, are full days with a combination of sessions, labs, breakouts, workshops, along with breakfast, lunch and an exhibit hall happy hour. Wednesday will also include the evening “CGI After Dark” event. Thursday, May 9 will be a half day from 8am to noon. The detailed program of events is available here.

CLOC has also brought back “Braindates”, which are “knowledge-sharing conversations that you book with others to have one-on-one or in small groups on-site in the Braindate Lounge.”

CLOC also has a mobile app where you can set your schedule, book your Braindates and more. I found it in the iOS App Store under “CLOC events”.

I’ll be in Vegas for the event! And I’ll have more to come on coverage – before, during and after! Stay tuned!
