Here’s Your LAST Chance to Participate in a New eDiscovery State of the Industry Survey!: eDiscovery Trends

Back in mid-November I announced the first annual eDiscovery Today 2021 State of the Industry Report Survey (Sponsored by EDRM), designed to poll eDiscovery professionals throughout the industry and get their experiences on a variety of topics designed to inform and educate the industry on these trends overall.  Today is the LAST day to take the survey if you haven’t already done so.

The survey consists of ten questions, plus one sponsor bonus question and should literally take 1-2 minutes to complete.  In addition to a couple of demographics questions, there are questions related to the following topics:

  • Remote Work From Home (WFH)
  • Legal Technology Virtual Conferences
  • Litigation Workload and the COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Use of Predictive Coding Technologies and Approaches
  • Discovery From Mobile Devices and Collaboration Apps
  • Business Trends in eDiscovery for 2021
  • Biggest eDiscovery Related Trends for 2021
  • The eDiscovery Challenge That Not Enough People Are Talking About

In addition, EDRM (who has graciously agreed to sponsor and promote the survey) has asked a bonus question to gather information from industry professionals: What would you most like to see from EDRM in 2021?

Back then, I said the survey would be conducted for several weeks and would be concluded when there is a statistically significant number of responses.  And, many of you have responded – already more than I had expected – so thank you very much if you have taken it!  I really appreciate it!

If you haven’t done so and would still like to participate, click here to take the survey as it will close at the end of the day today!

The results will be published in the 2021 State of the Industry Report probably in the next couple of weeks.  However, that’s not all that will be included in the report!  It will also include observations from selected thought leaders about some of these topics as well!  So, it should be a unique report combining a statistical representation of the industry with expert observations!

Best of all, this report (once published) will be FREE(!) – to anyone who takes the survey or follows eDiscovery Today via email.  To do so, all you need to do is to go up to the top right corner of this page, enter your email address and click the “Follow” button, then click the “Confirm Follow” button when you receive the confirmation email.  That way, you’ll not only get the report when it’s available, you’ll also get emails with the topics covered here (either immediately, daily or weekly, depending on your preference).  There’s never been a better time to follow eDiscovery Today and make sure you don’t miss out on any topics covered here!

Thanks to EDRM for your support and sponsorship of this survey and report!  Speaking of EDRM, their first virtual reality Expo certainly didn’t “suck” yesterday – it was a hit!  Kudos to Mary Mack and Kaylee Walstad for a great idea and an enjoyable way to catch up with a lot of people in the industry the past two days.  Here’s one last picture – of the eDiscovery Today booth!

So, what do you think?  In addition, to sharing any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic, please take the survey here (if you haven’t already)!
