Cimplifi Launches Security, Privacy, and Compliance Center
Helping Clients Address Sensitive Data Obligations with Confidence
NEW YORK – June 29, 2022 — Cimplifi™, an integrated eDiscovery services and contract analytics provider, today announced the launch of its security, privacy, and compliance center to address data protection and privacy compliance obligations that face the legal industry.
The security, privacy, and compliance center launched initially with the partnership of Calamu and SafeGuard Privacy to offer clients cybersecurity safeguards that protect data sets and maximize the insights clients have into the health of their privacy and compliance practices. Through these technologies, companies can operationalize and automate data privacy management, reach compliance faster, and mitigate risk associated with data breaches of sensitive data.
“We deeply understand the challenges our clients face with ever-changing global privacy laws,” said Marla Crawford, general counsel of Cimplifi. “Data privacy and data transfers are always going to be a critical element of any litigation or investigation. It was imperative that we give our clients direct access to solutions that will address these challenges.”
Calamu is the world’s first company to introduce virtual data harbors which eliminate the risk of data theft, data leaks, and double-extortion ransomware attacks. Calamu helps companies adopt a “data-first” approach to information security, so their data remains safe from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
“Ransomware hackers are constantly testing your network for vulnerabilities,” said Paul Lewis, chief executive officer of Calamu. “With Calamu, you get the confidence that your sensitive data remains safe and fully in your control, regardless of how long you need to retain it.”
SafeGuard Privacy offers the world’s most comprehensive platform for managing privacy compliance internally, as well as managing it across a company’s network of vendors. SafeGuard Privacy helps companies understand, address, and maintain ongoing compliance with different privacy laws across the globe including GDPR and the United States.
“Global privacy laws are rapidly evolving and becoming more complex. Businesses are having a hard time keeping up and they need to be more timely, efficient, and cost-effective,” said Richy Glassberg, CEO of SafeGuard Privacy. “They need tech-powered, independent, and fully auditable solutions to easily manage their compliance.
The fact that Cimplifi launches a new Security, Privacy, and Compliance Center with two partners designed to support these areas is just another indication of how much eDiscovery, security, privacy and compliance have continued to interconnect. Good move!
