Claims Around AI

Claims Around AI and FTC Guidelines and What to Do About Them: Artificial Intelligence Webinars

Do you know if claims around AI are true or false? Or what the FTC expects regarding those claims? Tomorrow’s ACEDS webinar with UnitedLex & eDiscovery Today discusses that!

Tomorrow, ACEDS will host the webinar Magic or Myth? AI, Advertising, and the FTC: Avoiding Costly Pitfalls (available here) at 1pm ET (noon CT, 10am PT). While the benefits of AI have moved from abstract fantasy to tangible deliverables, the FTC also has their eye on claims around AI. Corporations and law firms advising them must understand recently issued guidelines to make sure legal service and software providers touting their capabilities and benefits rooted in AI are delivering on the principles and technologies of AI.

Join us as we take a deep dive into:

  • Understanding what AI is and what it’s not, with real-world examples where AI capabilities pass muster and what might leave the door open for further examination.
  • Navigating AI advertising precedent, potential FTC regulations and enforcement actions.
  • Review types of AI-related claims on the FTC’s radar and responses that prove the need for an AI solution.
  • Examine specific claims the FTC is focused on and the litmus tests they use to verify if the claims meet specifications for AI.

I’m excited to be moderating the discussion with Cara Hughes, Senior Vice President Business Development at UnitedLex and Mercedes Kelley Tunstall, Partner, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP!

Make no mistake about it – the excitement around ChatGPT and all other things AI is real, and the use of AI is here to stay. These days, it seems everyone wants a piece of the AI pie. Many legal service and software providers have put claims around AI front and center of their marketing messages – but how can you determine what providers have the expertise to deliver? Click here to register to learn how to understand whether provider AI claims are magic or myth!

So, what do you think? Are you struggling with all the claims about AI and what it can do? If so, attend the webinar! Please share any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic.
