I’ve reported on cyber stats before, but never created an infographic of them. Now I have! Here are 8 urgent cybersecurity statistics in 2023!

I found the cybersecurity stats on Earthweb (which compiled them from other sources). Nonetheless, the stats they compiled were updated yesterday and they provided 15 of them in this page titled (oddly enough) 15 urgent cybersecurity statistics in 2023.

Of course, I could have simply listed them. But what fun would that be? So, I decided to create an infographic of the eight most compelling statistics (in my opinion, anyway) to make it a little more interesting, using the infographic maker within Venngage. Here are the 8 urgent cybersecurity statistics in 2023:

• Global damage from cybercrimes is expected to reach $10.5 trillion per year by 2025.
• Global organizations detected 493.33 million ransomware attacks in 2022.
• Phishing is still the most used type of cyberattack with around 3.4 billion spam emails sent/received per day.
• 800,944 cybercrime complaints were reported in 2022.
• Data Shows that A Surprising 60% of Organizations Lack Governance or Oversight Within Their Security Posture
• 51% of Companies Plan to Increase Their Security Spending Due to A Data Breach
