I was excited to join Tom O’Connor on his popular eDiscovery Channel interview series, and very excited to interview Joy Holley with Tom!
Joy Holley is a unique thought leader in eDiscovery! She has more than 25 years of experience across the spectrum as a practicing attorney, consumer of legal support services, director of an AmLaw 100 practice support department, legal consultant, and legal operations director for two Fortune 500 companies. Joy is also an AI enthusiast with deep expertise in eDiscovery, experienced in helping organizations effectively leverage legal technology to add value, enhance client service, and maximize revenue.
Having been on a couple of panels with Joy, her expertise and experience is evident, and she’s a lot of fun to work with as well! I’m also grateful to Joy for contributing several guest posts to eDiscovery Today. Here are a couple of topics she has written about:
- A Blueprint for Success: How eDiscovery Professionals Can Leverage Their Existing Skills to Become Indispensable AI Advisors (here and here)
- In Support of Optimism: Women in eDiscovery Should be on the Main Stage at AI Conferences (here and here)
In our interview, Tom and I discussed how Joy got started in the law and eventually gravitated over to legal technology and eDiscovery, the role of a key mentor in her career, the importance of project management in eDiscovery, the need for legal professionals to embrace AI, how her husband’s enthusiasm for Jimmy Buffett turned her into a “Parrothead” and more!
Even though she got the second to last question wrong 😉, Joy was still a delight to interview! Check out our interview with Joy Holley via the link here or below via eDiscovery Channel!
So, what do you think? Who should Tom and I add to our interview queue? Please share any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic.
