Holley Robinson in EDRM’s Illumination Zone: eDiscovery Trends

When a really smart person works with really smart mentors (including her dad), you get Holley Robinson, who was just interviewed in EDRM’s Illumination Zone!

Holley Robinson is the Marketing Operations Manager at not just one, but two organizations: EDRM and ComplexDiscovery. If you noticed the last name, she is the daughter of Rob Robinson, who is the Managing Director of ComplexDiscovery and Chief Marketing Officer of HaystackID (and the most knowledgeable marketing person I’ve ever worked with).

Mary Mack, CEO of EDRM and Kaylee Walstad, Chief Strategy Officer of EDRM interviewed Holley for their Illumination Zone podcast and the interview (which dropped yesterday) is available here.

Holley, who interned with EDRM while still in school at Texas Tech, is now a college graduate and working full-time in the eDiscovery industry, providing marketing operations services to both EDRM and ComplexDiscovery. Because she was the subject of this interview, Holley noted: “This is the first podcast where I’ve been able to unmute!”

In the interview, Holley discusses a lot of things, including how she got started in eDiscovery (which was back in middle school helping Rob with content review and image generation – at $1 per piece), how much she has learned in the industry so far, joining the weekly EDRM support call and seeing how supportive we are of each other (and seeing Craig Ball join one of the calls in a judge’s costume, complete with powdered wig!), Andrew Haslam’s eDisclosure Buyers Guide and ComplexDiscovery’s conversion and hosting of that guide into an interactive resource here, what it’s like to work for her dad, and taking her dad to an Alice in Chains concert when she was a teenager (which I would have loved to have seen!).

Holley also had nice things to say about me as she interviewed me while still in school about marketing and eDiscovery. I could tell then that she was super smart and would do well in whatever she decided to do in her career. I’m glad that decision is following the footsteps of her dad into eDiscovery!

Rob covers her interview on ComplexDiscovery here. While he covers it objectively, you can tell he’s a proud dad! eDiscovery is moving into the next generation and, with people like Holley Robinson ready to jump in, the future is exciting!
