KLDiscovery Announces Leadership Transition
Chief Executive Officer Chris Weiler Leaving the Company
KLDiscovery to be Led by Board Chair Mike Suchsland and Longstanding Senior Executives
Eden Prairie, MN – January 10, 2025 – (BUSINESS WIRE) KLDiscovery Inc. (“KLDiscovery” or the “Company”), a leading global provider of electronic discovery, information governance, and data recovery technology solutions, today announced that Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Chris Weiler, is retiring from the Company. During this transition period, KLDiscovery will be led by Mike Suchsland, Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”), and a Leadership Committee comprised of the Company’s longstanding senior executives. The Board will begin working with a leading executive search firm to identify a successor to Mr. Weiler.

In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of KLDiscovery, Mr. Suchsland brings over 30 years of experience across the legal technology industry. He serves as Principal of Joplin Consulting LLC, an independent consulting company providing strategic advice to private equity firms focused on legal technology, content, and service businesses investments. Previously, Mr. Suchsland served in several senior executive positions with Thomson Reuters’ legal business. Additionally, Mr. Suchsland has held various board member positions, including with SurePoint Technologies where he is currently Chairman of the board, and with eDiscovery providers Ipro Technologies, QDiscovery and Epiq Systems. Mr. Suchsland graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
