Time flies when you’re having fun! And, before you know it, half a decade is gone and eDiscovery Today is five years old!
eDiscovery Today was launched on April 20, 2020 – so, yesterday was our five-year anniversary!
Over the last five years, we’ve tried to deliver interesting eDiscovery and legal technology trends, best practices and case law – day in and day out. Here are some of the stats that illustrate what we’ve done over the last four years:
Total number of posts over four years: 2,884
Total eDiscovery related posts: 2,226
Total number of posts on Industry Trends: 1,412
Total number of posts on Privacy related topics: 724
Total number of posts on eDiscovery Case Law: 686
Total number of AI related posts: 819 (a rise of almost 400 posts since last year!)
And those are just some of the main topics! We’ve also had 289 posts on Collaboration Apps, 479 posts related to Ethics (203 more than we had last year), 302 posts related to Mobile Devices, 201 posts related to Project Management, 250 posts related to Sanctions and 193 posts related to Searching. You can find posts related to any tracked category via the Categories drop down in the right hand side sidebar!
And you’ve taken notice! We have already tripled in 2025 the number of views we had in all of 2020! And we’re rapidly approaching a huge milestone, which should happen in the next month or so! Stay tuned!
I wouldn’t be able to announce that “eDiscovery Today is five years old” without all of you – those who read eDiscovery Today! Thank you so much for reading our blog! Whether you’re an occasional reader who has been interested in specific topics, or a daily reader who reads eDiscovery Today every day, thank you so much! Without you, there would be no eDiscovery Today!
I also want to thank all the partners who have made eDiscovery Today possible through their sponsorship of the blog and commitment to eDiscovery and legal tech education! Current sponsors are:
Cimplifi, ProSearch, KLDiscovery, Casepoint, ModeOne, Lexbe, Level Legal, Nextpoint, Cloudficient, Lineal, S2|DATA, Syllo, Relativity, and Elite Discovery! And stay tuned for a new partner announcement shortly!
Additionally, a special thanks to Craig Ball, Mary Mack and Kaylee Walstad and EDRM for helping me get this blog started when I was trying to figure out what to do next when I was out of a job right after the pandemic started. And thanks as well to people like Kelly Twigger of Minerva26, Rob Robinson, David Greetham, Marc Zamsky, Mike Quartararo and ACEDS, Mandi Ross, Jim Gill, Tom O’Connor, Judge Andrew Peck and others for being initial sponsors and supporters to help it grow! And Aaron Patton (aka Gates Dogfish) for all the great memes the past couple of years.
I always end my posts with “So, what do you think?” So, as always, please share any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic. It’s not just “my blog”, eDiscovery Today has always been a crowdsourcing of ideas and educational information. You all have not only made the past five years possible with your support, but also your terrific topic ideas as well. I will do my best to continue to write, find and publish important topics related to eDiscovery and legal tech trends, best practices and case law. Bring on year number 6!
