Pillsbury Expands Litigation Technology Resources with Syllo’s AI-Powered Platform
Leading global law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has strengthened its litigation technology portfolio through a new multi-year agreement with litigation technology company Syllo. The Syllo platform offers unique AI-powered functionality to support document review, factual analysis, and litigation workflows, giving Pillsbury teams a powerful new resource for managing complex matters efficiently and effectively.
“We have long prided ourselves on leveraging innovative technology to achieve outstanding value for our clients,” said David Stanton, head of Pillsbury’s Information Law and eDiscovery practice. “Syllo’s platform has surpassed our expectations in document categorization, context analysis, and strategic organization, seamlessly aligning with Pillsbury’s rigorous approach to discovery and case preparation.”
Special Counsel Rachelle Rennagel added, “We’ve tested and validated this technology, and found Syllo’s capabilities to be adaptable and robust. We see significant opportunities to integrate this functionality into our workflows, delivering tangible benefits to Pillsbury’s case teams and clients.”
Jennifer Siekiersky, Pillsbury’s Director of eDiscovery Services, commented, “Our program is already benefiting from these transformative innovations, and this collaborative arrangement with Syllo will elevate our capabilities even further.”
The agreement provides Pillsbury with access to Syllo’s Agentic AI-driven review environment, which can help organize and analyze discovery materials alongside pleadings, transcripts, and attorney work product. Key features such as document summarization, agentic issue tagging, and timeline-building tools support the rapid development of case narratives and strategic themes.
“We are delighted to partner with a forward-thinking firm like Pillsbury and to work closely with respected industry leaders like David and Rachelle on the thoughtful advancement of their discovery capabilities.” said Jeffrey Chivers, CEO of Syllo. “By working with premier law firms like Pillsbury, Syllo is helping to support the legal industry with concrete and value-driving applications of AI throughout the litigation process.”
A cornerstone of the collaboration is the joint development of professional training programs to help teams put Syllo’s advanced capabilities to work. Said Margot Feuerstein, Syllo’s Director of Litigation Support, “Working alongside a dedicated firm like Pillsbury allows us to develop and refine practical, hands-on programs to equip the next generation of support professionals with the technical and strategic skills to master AI tools, validate their output, and achieve exceptional results.”
