Time for another thought leader interview on eDiscovery Today! This time, I’m interviewing Terry Reeves and Kyle Moore of Elite Discovery!
Terry Reeves is the CEO and founder of Elite Discovery, Inc. and Elite Deposition Technologies. Terry began his career in the litigation support space in 1993 as a lead operator of Night Rider Overnight Copy Service. Using this experience, he founded Elite Document Technology in 2001. In 2008, Terry understood his clients’ needs were evolving as well as technology, so he became a certified forensic expert. Within the following years, Terry led the mergers and acquisitions of 4 companies that make up Elite today. Terry has applied his experience and expertise on numerous large cases involving complex eDiscovery matters, litigation holds, information governance, and digital forensics matters. As CEO Terry continues to pursue strategic growth and relationships with both clients and strategic partners, while also implementing the latest legal technology, practices, operational models, and culture accordingly to stay ahead of the curve.
As a Shareholder and Chief Solutions Officer at Elite Discovery, Kyle Moore serves as a key member of the Elite executive leadership team driving improvements and key initiatives within the company. Kyle works closely with clients to introduce sophisticated and cost-effective methods to preserve, collect, and reduce the volume of ESI. He develops strategies to successfully reduce the volume of ESI involved in his clients’ cases. He also routinely engineers document review workflows that integrate cutting-edge analytics and AI technologies to optimize the document review process – thus saving time and substantially lowering cost. Kyle has significant experience managing some of the largest and most complex matters over the last decade ranging from litigation to multibillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions to high-profile government investigations.
I covered a lot of topics with Terry and Kyle, ranging from caveats to look out for regarding the use of AI and GenAI to support legal use cases, applying lessons learned over 25 years to the current trends related to AI and GenAI, what they’re hearing from their clients regarding the move to the left and roadblocks keeping them from getting there, addressing discovery of the wide variety of data sources in today’s work environment, matching Elite’s lengthy list of technology partners to their your clients to ensure they get the solutions and services that are right for them, various ways Elite is applying the use of AI for discovery, and more!
