This year’s annual ILTACON conference was the biggest ever! But some things never change, like the “Wisdom Wall”. That’s good!

The International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) annual conference ILTACON 2026 concluded yesterday. And I will be recapping it over several posts in the next couple of weeks or so. However, while this was the biggest ILTACON ever, it’s good to see that some things never change,

One of the things that hasn’t changed is the “Wisdom Wall” that ILTACON uses to capture feedback. Each year, ILTACON sets up a wall for capturing feedback about everything from the conference to why people come to ILTACON in the first place to what ILTA could do better to general observations about legal technology trends They provide Post-It notes for people to provide that feedback. It’s anonymous, so people can freely post their thoughts.

That’s cool enough. But ILTACON takes it a step further.

For several years, they also have hired artists to render feedback from the attendees on the Wisdom Wall. This year’s artistic renderings were provided by St. Louis-based Filament*, which designs, facilitates, and hosts meetings, off-sites, summits, and retreats using analog tools, writable walls, and flexible layouts “in a playful environment that tells your team it’s time to think big!”

This year’s Wisdom Wall actually featured two double-sided walls, each with three panels per side for a total of twelve panels in all. The panels reflect topics such as:

• Why do you come to ILTACON?
• One thing in legal AI will never replace…
• My bold prediction for legal tech is…
• A skill future leaders need to know is…
• A lesson I wish I’d learned sooner is…
• Describe who ILTA is to you.
• Legal would innovate faster if…
• Someone new to ILTA needs to know…
• How might ILTA be bolder?
• I wish ILTA began doing…
• One thing ILTA could stop doing is…

I took a picture of each of the panels yesterday morning toward the conclusion of the conference (so it may not be the final version, but close).
