This morning, American Lawyer Media (ALM) announced that this year’s Legalweek 2022 is rescheduled from the original dates of January 31 thru February 3 to the new dates of March 8 thru 11.
Here’s the announcement I received this morning:
Thank you for registering for Legalweek 2022. As we have always said, the safety of our attendees, sponsors, speakers, and staff is paramount. As such, and given the recent surge in COVID-19 cases worldwide, we have made the prudent decision to move the Legalweek dates to March 8 – 11, 2022 at the New York Hilton Midtown.
This postponement will allow us to implement additional precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of the 8,000+ legal professionals that will gather together to network with their peers, dive deeper into their professional development, and gain the tools they need to get legal business done.
There is nothing you need to do regarding your registration, as your ticket will automatically transfer to the new March dates. However, if you have already booked your room, you must contact the New York Hilton Midtown via (212) 586-7000 to re-book your hotel stay. Please mention code LGLW.
Additionally, if you have any questions about the new dates, or if the new dates of Legalweek 2022 no longer work with your schedule, please contact legalweekny@alm.com to have your registration transferred to 2023.
We look forward to seeing you in New York this coming March for Legalweek 2022.
Best,
The Legalweek Event Team
Hopefully, the fact that Legalweek 2022 is rescheduled gives people who might have been “on the fence” about going more time to decide.
The Omicron variant of COVID is spreading at a rate much higher than previous strains, affecting millions (including me). Thankfully, this strain appears to be less severe than previous strains of the virus. However, given the extensive spread of it, it’s no surprise that Legalweek 2022 is rescheduled. Hopefully, this means a more successful event (and maybe warmer too!).
As I discussed on Monday, Rob Robinson’s excellent ComplexDiscovery site keeps a running list of events for the year and (of course) he has already updated his list to reflect this change. Told you to keep it handy! 🙂
So, what do you think? Are you surprised that Legalweek 2022 is rescheduled? Does that change your mind about going? Please share any comments you might have or if you’d like to know more about a particular topic.
