It’s my wife Paige’s birthday today! So, please forgive this one post departure from normal eDiscovery and legal tech topics as I talk about how great Paige is!
Here’s an example of how wonderful Paige is and why I’m such a lucky man to be her husband:
Years ago, I was coming back to my hotel room at Relativity Fest after a long day of sessions, meetings and networking events. I was so tired, I dropped my laptop bag and plopped onto the bed fully clothed. I laid there for a few minutes resting and checking my phone. Then, I looked across the room and, over on the desk, I saw a bottle of wine in an ice bucket and a piece of cake for dessert. Naturally, the first thing I thought after seeing that was:
“Crap, I’m in the wrong room!”
But when I looked around the room some more, I realized that this was my room. And when I checked the note that accompanied the wine and dessert, it was indeed sent by my beautiful wife. That’s an example of how wonderful Paige is.
Paige is always doing thoughtful things like that – for me, for her mom, for our kids, and even for friends. She is regularly thinking of others before herself.
The picture at the top of this post was taken last week when we got to Pacific Beach in San Diego and illustrates how Paige fully embraces and appreciates life’s gifts. She has a great sense of humor and makes like so much more fun and rewarding for me than I could have ever imagined. She is the “muse” behind eDiscovery Today. 🙂
Ten years ago, today – on Paige’s birthday – I proposed to Paige. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Hopefully, she feels just as good about her decision to say “yes”! 😉
I love you honey!
