Revisiting Hyperlinked Files Tomorrow

Revisiting Hyperlinked Files Tomorrow!: eDiscovery Webinars

Déjà vu all over again – but different! Tune into this EDRM webinar sponsored by Nextpoint on revisiting hyperlinked files tomorrow!

Tomorrow, EDRM will host the Nextpoint sponsored webinar Revisiting Hyperlinked Files: What’s changed, What’s new, and What’s Still a Hot Mess (available here) at 1pm ET (noon CT, 10am PT). In this webcast, Brett Burney of Nextpoint, Kelly Twigger of Minerva26 and I will provide up-to-date approaches, tips, and best practices on how to navigate the tricky and novel landscape of hyperlinked files … which promises to get even more confusing and messy in the future. Topics include:

  • Understanding “Hyperlinked Files”: Learn what the debate is all about, why hyperlinked files are so challenging, and how to prepare for discovery when you need to address them.
  • What the Courts are Saying: Learn about recent Court rulings regarding hyperlinked files and how they should be treated in discovery.
  • Technology Considerations: Explore current technical challenges associated with modern attachments and current available solutions and approaches to address those challenges.
  • What the Future Holds: Identify trends that illustrate where the issue is heading from a technology and best practices perspective.

A year ago, the three of us covered the landscape of “modern attachments” but since then we’ve been correctly persuaded to address them as “hyperlinked files” (I think 😉).  The past year has also witnessed courts address (struggle with?) these questions and attempt to pose workable solutions while parties push back and sideways and argue around in circles. Register here as Brett, Kelly and I will be revisiting hyperlinked files tomorrow once again!
